Alexander Mercado Martinez (Alex) is the Teaching Assistant for 5th grade, as well as the TA trainer for Primary School. He is an Industrial Engineer, having graduated from the University UCA (Universidad Centroamericana UCA). He is currently working on earning his Masters in Education. Prior to joining San Juan Day School, Alex worked as a teaching assistant in English in Managua, leading group classes. He is originally from Managua, Nicaragua and he relocated to San Juan del Sur on 2018. Alex’s passion is to serve others thru education. In addition to teaching, he loves to inspire children, through fun and games and to continue to develop the skills that they acquire during the academic day.
